Microbrasserie Charlevoix - Flacatoune - Belgian Pale Ale - 7% - Quebec

Poured into my Microbrasserie Charlevoix flute. It's got a big Pillowy two finger head, tons of carbonation, beautiful bright golden blond color. Foggy, clearly unfiltered. Strong Aromas of Lemon, cloves, Belgian yeast & root beer. Smells fantastic.

Tastes of yeast, citrus, with some sourness. Less sweet then expected from the nose. Spices. Hits the tongue and right away feels as if you are going to get a lots of sugar, instead there is a subtle sweetness followed by a sour bitter finish from the a yeast and the hops.

Great medium/heavy body, creamy. However, still goes down very smooth. I was excited to try this one as this brewery is my favorite in Quebec. It was extremely well balanced and just plain tasty overall. A prime example of how Quebec is taking the Belgian style to new levels.
